(Ara Chloroptera)
Indiginous to large sections of S. America, from Panama in the north to Paraguay and norther Argentina in the south. Also northwest Columbia east of the Andes to Guiana and Venezuela. They live mainly in the tropical forests in the lowlands and foothills below 3000 feet.
Green wing macaws usually lay two to three eggs which the females incubates by herself for 27 days. |
