We are not a big breeding kennels which is open to the public; we are a private home with a great interest in showing dogs, who breed only once or very occasionally twice a year and then only because we require a new show prospect. Unlike some breeders we don't breed litter after litter to a variety of different dogs and different bitches from a wide variety of  lines. We try to breed to the best and most suitable dog (champion or non champion )  for our bitch and try to keep to certain lines.  All our dogs are descended from our original bitch and we do prefer to keep colour (and well marked colour)  close up in our lines.

Although we don't breed often ourselves we are usually able to put puppy enquiries in touch with reputable breeders so puppy enquiries are always welcome.

Show home enquiries are always welcome and we always try to ensure that puppies with show potential go to showing homes but please remember we are breeding the litter for ourselves and as such we get first pick!

All our pups are reared in the house and if you read the Puppy Rearing page you will see are intensively handled from birth. We have never had a bitch that is a bad mother ie shown any form of agression towards her puppies or us.

We allow visits to see our puppies when they are 4 weeks of age. Young puppies are vulnerable to disease and you can't be too careful so when viewing you will need to remove your shoes before entering the puppies room.

We don't allow anyone to handle our puppies at such a young age even if you wash your hands first. The reason is clothes (no matter how carefully washed) can harbour germs that although unhamful to us could infect a puppy.
If we have handled or been close to strange dogs we always change our clothes before going near our puppies and hands are always washed with anti-bacterial before handling. This is not going OTT, puppies (being so young and not having a fully developed immune system )are prone to dying from a variety of problems from simple gastric to fading puppy and once one puppy gets hit the whole litter can come down with illness. Any breeder who cares for his litter will try to implement hygene procedures.

All puppies (and all our dogs) are of course Kennel Club Registered, they will be endorsed not for export (we don't want any of our pups being taken by agents who export puppies to parts of the world were they are eaten/beaten or lack animal welfare) and breeding. These endorsements can be removed at a later date.
You will be asked to sign a contract agreeing to this and the fact that if the puppy needs rehoming it will come back to us. In no circumstances should the puppy be destroyed without our prior consent!

All  puppies are health checked by a Vet prior to leaving. All puppies are wormed several times before leaving. Puppies are
permanently identified
(microchipped) before leaving. We do not flea treat our puppies for the simple reason that they do not have fleas and we are totally against exposing puppies to unnecessary chemicals which can break down the immune system in later life causing a host of medical problems.

None of our puppies are vaccinated.unless otherwise stated.
DO NOT vaccinate until 9/10 weeks of age. Again chemicals given at such a young age can cause problems (vaccination poisoning). It is therefore in our opinion better to wait until 9/10 weeks before administering first vaccination.

Puppies leave with Bullywood Information Booklet covering diet, worming, housetraining, socialisation, breed specifics etc

Puppies are insured for 6 weeks besides the KC insurance, a supply of food is provided

And

A lifetime of advice should you need it
